Ombre - meaning shadowed or graduated is having a moment. A little while ago I talked about tie dye effects in interiors, particularly soft furnishings.

Well here’s a really simple way to get the look for a few pounds.

This particular chest of drawers is Ikea - but you could use anything you have that has drawers in it.

Go to your local paint store and pick a few paint cards with colours you really like . Most paint cards come in graduated colours - so they’ve done all the work for you. Then you simply paint one drawer in the darkest shade and paint the next drawer in the next colour on the card and then continue with the next colour etc.

And there you are -An ombred chest of drawers. On trend, Great colours, and ever so cheap !
