Downstairs loos are often forgotten when it comes to design .Yes they may smell wonderful with scented sticks etc and have nice towels but on the design stakes they often get left out . Why is this ?Is it because it’s so small. Is it’s because it’s not a priority? Is it because - well quite frankly - it’s all a bit boring ?
Well it doesn’t need to be like this . This is THE one room where you can be as exuberant and playful as you want .This is the room where you can really go for it stylistically .
Think about the materials you could use on the walls - distressed wood /padded leather / fabulous wallpapers in gold leaf effect or exuberant florals. Really think out of the box - use unexpected items - a statement lamp or chandelier a drop dead gorgeous mirror -all items that you know you’d find too much in the main bits of your home, but may look jaw droppingly gorgeous in the loo . This is the one room where you really don’t want to play it safe .
Here areĀ examples of loos where the owners have had fun and been bold !

We really loved these tile rug designs. They look fresh and clean and would look ezqually at home in a kitchen , bathroom or even hallway
They come in a variety of shapes and designs , and would add a great finish to a room. They’re created by wet
